Job summary

Busch Group in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a capable Maintenance Workshop Supervisor to lead a skilled team. You will plan and schedule repair activities, allocate resources, control costs and ensure safety, quality and documentation standards are met.

The role requires 3–5 years supervisory experience in industrial maintenance with eng/diploma qualifications and SAP familiarity. Strong English communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma with supervisory experience in maintenance/repair of industrial equipment.
• Experience leading workshop teams and coordinating repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the workshop team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Plan, schedule and monitor repair activities for timely quality-compliant output.
• Allocate resources to optimize workflow, manpower, tools and equipment.
• Drive cost control initiatives and manage workshop KPIs.
• Manage inventory of repair parts and materials to support ops.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor workload and performance to maintain productivity and quality.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Document all repair and servicing activities accurately.
• Develop team capabilities through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Support introduction of new pump models into repair ops.
• Lead cost-saving and continuous improvement projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the workshop team, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations
• Plan, schedule and monitor all repair activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards
• Optimize workflow by effectively allocating workshop resources, including manpower, tools and equipment
• Drive cost control initiatives and ensure achievement of all workshop-related KPIsManage inventory levels of repair parts and materials to support operational needs
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Monitor team workload and performance to maintain high productivity and quality output
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all repair and servicing activities
• Maintain workshop infrastructure, including equipment and tools and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance plans
• Develop team capabilities through training, coaching and mentoring
• Support the introduction and transfer of new pump models into repair operations
• Lead in cost saving initiatives and continuous process improvement projects
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma holder in Engineering with minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance, repair and operations of industrial equipment.
• Experience with vacuum pumps and vacuum systems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SAP system is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
