About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and professional Bilingual Interpreters to provide accurate consecutive interpretation services via phone and video calls. This is a full-time, permanent night shift position requiring full commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpretation between English and Cantonese.
• Handle telephone and video calls in consecutive interpretation mode.
• Accurately convey meaning between speakers with language barriers.
• Remain neutral, professional, and culturally sensitive at all times.
• Use appropriate terminology across industries including:
  • Government
  • Insurance
  • Finance
  • Utilities
  • Travel & Hospitality
  • Emergency Services (911)
  • Law Enforcement & Courts
  • General Business

Requirements

• Minimum B2 CEFR English proficiency.
• Bilingual in English and Cantonese.
• Must be able to read and write Chinese characters.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Strong concentration and ability to remain objective.
• Able to follow client instructions closely.
• Able to explain cultural nuances when required.
• Comfortable handling both simple and complex subject matters.
• Able to work on a permanent night shift schedule.
• Must be able to work in Malaysia or relocate to Malaysia. Work from home on a permanent basis.

Education Requirements

• Candidates with full working rights for Malaysia: Minimum SPM.
