Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company is seeking an Interpreter working from home in Malaysia. The role covers consecutive interpretation for live doctor/patient, banking, and client conversations, with night shifts and a minimum of 40 online hours per week.

Candidates should have a B2 CEFR English level with other required languages, strong listening and note-taking skills, and the ability to remain neutral. Training and ongoing remote work are provided.

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain high accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at client request
• B2 CEFR English level bilingual with other required languages
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render meaning of conversations in consecutive mode.
• Process information quickly and concisely, recognize cultural differences, and stay professional and courteous.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices.

Client: Translation and Interpretation Services Company

Position: Interpreter (100% Work from Home)

Location: Work From Home (Based in Malaysia)

Job Scope: Consecutive interpretation- Live conversation Doctor & Patient, Banker and client etc...

Working Hours: 100% night shift that changes monthly. Entry points can be any hour from 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am etc. (8 hours online per shift, 40 hours online per week MINIMUM)

Salary: Basic package up to RM6000 - RM6800

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous
• The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices.
• The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.
