Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company seeks an Interpreter for full-time remote work from Malaysia. The role involves consecutive interpretation during live conversations across diverse sectors, with a guaranteed 40 hours weekly minimum.

Night shifts rotate monthly, starting at various evenings and ending after an eight-hour block.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate to each other.
• Handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English.
• Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous.
• The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices.
• The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Client: Translation and Interpretation Services Company

Position: Interpreter (100% Work from Home)

Location: Work From Home (Based in Malaysia)

Job Scope: Consecutive interpretation- Live conversation Doctor & Patient, Banker and client etc...

Working Hours: 100% night shift that changes monthly. Entry points can be any hour from 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am etc. (8 hours online per shift, 40 hours online per week MINIMUM)

Salary: Basic package up to RM6000 - RM6800
