Tentacle Technologies in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Windows & VMware Administrator to support and architect enterprise server and virtualization environments. You will be a subject matter expert for Windows Server and VMware infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across a large-scale enterprise.

The role requires handling Tier 2/3 issues, design of storage solutions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and remote IT staff.

Qualifications

5-8 years SME experience in VMware and Windows Server administration.
Hands-on VMware stack experience or Nutanix architecture.
Bachelor's degree and basic networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

Handle Tier 2/3 problems and resolve ServiceNow tickets across queues.
Architect and support enterprise Windows Server and VMware environments.
Design and maintain mid-range/enterprise storage for Windows apps/databases.
Communicate technical concepts to executives and engineers; produce documentation.
Direct vendors and internal teams to diagnose and resolve system issues.
Perform server tuning, capacity planning, and proactive maintenance.
Implement security measures and support deployments, upgrades, and scheduling.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Windows & VMware Administrator to support and architect enterprise server and virtualization environments within the technology sector. In this role, you'll be a subject matter expert for Windows Server and VMware infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across a large-scale enterprise environment while resolving complex technical issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

Handle Tier 2/3 problem-solving and resolve ServiceNow tickets across priority and service request queues
Architect and support enterprise solutions using Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022
Design and maintain mid-range and enterprise storage solutions for Windows server applications and databases
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both executive and technical stakeholders, and produce concise technical documentation
Direct vendor and internal support teams to diagnose and resolve system issues
Perform server performance tuning, capacity monitoring, and proactive maintenance to maximize uptime
Implement server security measures and support application teams with installations, upgrades, and job scheduling

What We're Looking For

5-8 years of experience as an SME in VMware and Windows Server administration
Extensive hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX-T) OR Nutanix
Strong knowledge of Windows Server Enterprise environments, including RDS and DHCP
Working knowledge of mid-range and enterprise storage systems (iSCSI SAN, FC SAN, FC switch)
Proven ability to liaise with senior management, remote IT teams, and third-party vendors
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bachelor's Degree required; basic networking knowledge is essential
