Job summary

Aspiro in Malaysia is seeking an IT Server Support Engineer to provide L1/L2 support for VMware, Windows Server, Hyper-V and backup systems. You will install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi, vCenter, Windows, and Linux, and monitor performance for optimal uptime. The role includes disaster recovery planning and security-related incident handling.

Candidates should have 2–3 years’ server support experience, with knowledge of AD, DNS, backup, and SAN. Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT related field.
2–3 years of experience in a server support role.
Hands-on experience with VMware/ESXi/vCenter, Windows and Linux in a distributed environment.
Knowledge of Backup and Restore, Active Directory, DNS, and server monitoring.
Ability to work on a rotational schedule; Mandarin is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Provide L1/L2 support for VMware, Windows Server, Hyper-V, and backup systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Install, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi, vCenter, Windows, and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu).
Perform regular backup checks and support basic SAN storage operations.
Monitor system performance, health checks, patching, and preventive maintenance.
Handle security-related incident tickets, share investigation findings and preventive actions.
Support disaster recovery planning and testing.
Suggest improvements and provide reporting with recommendations under guidance.
