Job summary

DayOne, a global data infrastructure leader in Kuala Lumpur, seeks skilled IT Ops to maintain and optimize its data center systems. You’ll manage VMware vCenter/ESXi, Linux servers, and storage, while implementing automation and ITIL-based processes.

You’ll troubleshoot, monitor, and support DR readiness, with exposure to Zabbix/Prometheus and web/server tooling such as Nginx, HaProxy, and Tomcat. Hardware familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience with project leadership.
• Familiar with basic networks and storage concepts.
• Proficient in VMware vCenter/ESXi and Linux server management.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix/Prometheus) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily application systems and meet SLA standards.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware issues; optimize performance.
• Manage VMware vCenter/ESXi and storage systems.
• Install, configure, and optimize servers.
• Handle change requests and DR readiness; monitor alerts.
• Develop tools to boost automation; follow ITIL principles.
• Contribute to new DC project initiatives.
