Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an engineer to provide critical factory-floor support by identifying root causes of product failures and designing experiments to validate hypotheses during investigations.

You will collaborate with R&D and suppliers to resolve design issues, compile detailed failure analysis reports, and implement standardized analysis methodologies across multiple product lines. You will also drive cost reductions, optimize testing quality, and oversee lab equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• University degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong powerelectronics fundamentals and SMPS operation.
• Hands-on skills on component-level failure analysis and bench test activities.
• Experience as R&D Engineer, Debug Engineer or Test Engineer is desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and validate findings with engineering tools.

This role provides critical factory-floor engineering support by identifying the root causes of product failures and designing experiments to validate hypotheses during investigations. The engineer will collaborate closely with R&D and suppliers to resolve design issues, compile detailed failure analysis reports, and implement standardized analysis methodologies across multiple product lines. Additionally, this candidate will drive manufacturing cost reductions, optimize testing quality, and oversee the maintenance and calibration of failure analysis laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• University degree or higher in a relevant engineering
• Strong powerelectronics fundamentals and SMPS operation
• Hands-on skills on component-level failure analysis, bench test simulation,verification, evaluation, and root cause analysis
• Experience in working as R&D Engineer, Debug Engineer and/or TestEngineer
• Able to interpret schematic diagrams and validate findings usingEngineering tools
• Able to compute basic electronic circuits and apply accordingly whennecessary
• Must have solid understanding of component failure mechanisms
• Proficiency withinstruments: Oscilloscope, Electronic Load, Power Analyzer, AC Source, Hi-potTester and other test and measurement equipment
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Must know how to create Engineering reports according to Engineeringprinciples.
