Job summary

SMT Technologies is seeking a motivated engineering professional to join its Malaysia team, focusing on ICT/FCT testing and test fixture setup for electronics manufacturing services.

You will assist test engineers, monitor equipment, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with customers and vendors to ensure on-time production and quality. Fresh graduates are welcome; experience with In-Circuit-Tester and Flying Probe is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Good command of English; Mandarin required to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Fresh graduates with relevant study are welcome.
• Able to work in cross-functional teams to solve operations issues.
• Knowledge of ICT/FCT testing tools preferred; RF testing knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of SQL and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assist test engineer with new equipment and test fixture setup.
• Ensure ICT/FCT boards and fixtures are properly controlled.
• Record failure boards transactions and report causes for improvement.
• Coordinate communication with customers and vendors.
• Monitor and maintain consumables and submaterials in lines.
• Assist supervisor to control production planning and quality.
• Maintain test equipment efficiency and downtime reporting.
• Coordinate training for subordinates to ensure proper system operation.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• To assist test engineer for the new equipment and test fixture setup.
• To ensure all equipment, jigs and fixtures in good condition and ensure reel time troubleshoot or return.
• To ensure all the ICT/FCT failure boards wip transaction are proper control.
• Proper recording on failure boards transaction from production.
• Repair and troubleshoot all the failure boards and feedback the causes to concern section for improvement.
• Commucation with customer and vendor.
• To monitor and maintain all consumable spare part and submaterial uses in lines.
• To assist supervisor concerned to control and achive the production planning schedule and quality.
• To maintain test equipment efficiency and downtime report.
• Co-ordinate and perform training for subordinates to ensure proper system operation / provide optimal contributions.
• To maintain good work discipline at work station.
• To perform other duties / assignment as needed from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/ computer science) or equivalent.
• At least 2+ year of relevant work experience.
• Good command of writing and speaking in English, Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.
• Fresh graduates with relevant study are welcome.
• Able to be part of a cross-functional team in problem solving and resolution of operations issues effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Good knowledge in In-Circuit-Tester and Flying Probe are much preferred. Knowledgeable on RF testing / RF equipment and networking products will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of SQL and experience with databases.
