Job summary

Ecolab International Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia seeks a Service Manager / Field Service Lead - Water Treatment to guide a team of five Field Service Representatives. You will oversee safe, compliant service delivery across customer sites and act as the technical escalation point for pumps, dosing systems and water treatment equipment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years in water treatment operations, with strong leadership and customer relationship skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in Water Treatment Operations, Facility Water Management or Wastewater Management.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry, industrial wastewater systems, pumps and chemical dosing equipment.
• Candidates with Oil & Gas, Chemicals or Power Plants experience are highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing a team of technicians, engineers or sales professionals.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
• Must possess a valid Class 3 driving license and/or own/lease a vehicle, or arrange one upon joining.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Field Service Representatives to achieve service quality, productivity, utilization and KPIs.
• Monitor service delivery, conduct field audits and ensure compliance with service standards and contractual requirements.
• Manage site servicing allocation and ensure 100% contract fulfilment.
• Act as the technical escalation point for pumps, dosing systems, filtration and water treatment equipment.
• Drive safety, risk management and zero-incident performance across the team.
• Develop technical training plans and establish knowledge-sharing through coaching and field shadowing.
• Champion the adoption of digital tools, CRM systems and remote monitoring solutions.
• Partner with Account Managers, Sales Representatives and Technical Consultants on customer reviews, site assessments and service improvement initiatives.
