Job summary

Darco Water Systems Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Service Engineer / O&M Engineer to oversee daily plant operations and maintenance, provide technical support, and manage site teams.

The role requires hands-on problem-solving, teamwork, and the ability to communicate with clients across multiple locations in Selangor, Malacca, Muar and JB. Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred for client communications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• CePIETSO-BP or PCP certification is an added advantage.
• Experience in water/wastewater treatment or plant O&M is beneficial.
• Mandarin-speaking ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Supervisors and Technicians in daily plant operations and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all operation and maintenance activities meet customer requirements and agreed service standards.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure monthly KPIs are consistently achieved.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for water and industrial effluent treatment systems.
• Respond promptly to customer concerns, breakdowns and operational issues, and provide practical solutions.
• Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on plant performance and maintenance issues.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports covering team performance, operational updates, plant status and key issues to Management.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams and site personnel to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance, operational efficiency and maintenance practices.
