Job summary

Joystar Auto Sdn Bhd, based in Shah Alam, is seeking an Insurance and Claims Coordinator to bridge customers, insurers, adjusters, and our B&P workshop. You will ensure smooth claim processing, accurate repair cost estimation, and timely approvals to minimize vehicle turnaround time.

Ideal applicants have 1–3 years in automotive claims processing or service coordination, with strong knowledge of motor insurance policies and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in automotive insurance claims processing, workshop administration, or service counter coordination
• Good understanding of motor insurance policies, accident claim procedures, and panel workshop operations in Malaysia
• Strong proficiency in preparing repair quotations and parts estimation

Responsibilities

• Handle accident vehicle insurance claims from start to finish, guiding customers through the claim submission process and documentation requirements
• Prepare accurate body and paint repair quotations, parts lists, and cost estimates using industry-standard estimating software and workshop pricing guidelines
• Coordinate closely with insurance company representatives, adjusters, and panel surveyors to schedule vehicle damage inspections and negotiate repair approvals
• Follow up proactively on pending claim approvals, missing policy documents, etc to prevent workshop delays
• Track and monitor the status of all active claims and vehicles in the body shop pipeline, keeping customers and service advisors updated regularly until final vehicle delivery
• Maintain organized physical and digital records of all claims, insurance correspondence, image logs, and approval sign-offs in compliance with company standards

The Insurance and Claims Coordinator plays a vital role in our Body & Paint (B&P) department by acting as the primary bridge between customers, insurance companies, adjusters, and our internal workshop. This position ensures smooth claim processing, accurate repair cost estimation, prompt approvals, and transparent communication to minimize vehicle turnaround time and maximize customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Handle accident vehicle insurance claims from start to finish, guiding customers through the claim submission process and documentation requirements

Prepare accurate body and paint repair quotations, parts lists, and cost estimates using industry-standard estimating software and workshop pricing guidelines

About you

Strong proficiency in preparing repair quotations, parts estimation, and working with major insurance adjusters

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills with a calm, professional phone and in-person demeanor

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to manage multiple vehicle claims simultaneously

Computer literate (familiarity with dealership management systems or MS Office/Excel)
