Job summary

Caterpillar Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor to manage daily warehouse operations in Malaysia.

You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching while ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient stock management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, warehouse management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Experience managing warehouse staff and daily warehouse operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, stock management, order fulfilment, and logistics processes.
• Experience with e-commerce warehouse operations is an advantage.
• Familiar with inventory/warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, disciplined, and hands-on.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure stock matches system records.
• Plan and conduct regular stock counts and stocktake; investigate discrepancies.
• Organise warehouse layout for safe and efficient storage.
• Coordinate with e-commerce, sales, purchasing, logistics, and courier partners for smooth order fulfilment.
• Manage daily order fulfilment to ensure on-time, accurate dispatch.
• Monitor packing materials and warehouse supplies; arrange replenishment.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including workload, attendance, and performance.
• Develop and maintain warehouse SOPs and processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Monitor damaged/expired/defective products and proper handling.
• Coordinate with logistics providers on delivery and return issues.
• Prepare regular inventory and performance reports; identify improvements to reduce errors and costs.

Responsibility

• Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
• Manage and monitor inventory accuracy, ensuring physical stock matches system records.
• Plan and conduct regular stock counts and stocktake, and investigate any discrepancies or missing inventory.
• Organise warehouse layout and ensure products are stored properly, safely, and efficiently.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing stock and ensure all stock movements are properly recorded.
• Coordinate with e-commerce, sales, purchasing, logistics, and courier partners to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Manage daily order fulfilment to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor packing materials and warehouse supplies, and arrange replenishment when necessary.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including work allocation, attendance, productivity, training, and performance.
• Develop and maintain proper warehouse SOPs and work processes.
• Ensure warehouse operations comply with company policies, safety requirements, and housekeeping standards.
• Monitor damaged, returned, expired, or defective products and ensure proper documentation and handling.
• Coordinate with logistics providers and follow up on delivery, collection, return, and shipment issues.
• Prepare regular reports on inventory, stock movement, fulfilment, warehouse performance, and discrepancies.
• Identify operational issues and implement improvements to reduce errors, stock loss, and unnecessary costs.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and maintained in good working condition.
