We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Officer to supervise daily warehouse operations in a food manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for safe and efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, picking and dispatch while maintaining stock accuracy, traceability and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the warehouse team and daily activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, dispatch and returns.
- Ensure raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods are received, handled, identified and stored correctly.
- Maintain accurate stock records, documents and system transactions, including batch/lot traceability.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO requirements to minimize aging, expiry, deterioration and wastage.
- Conduct stock counts and reconciliation, investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
- Plan daily manpower and equipment usage, and coordinate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs, safety rules, GMP, HACCP, food-safety and housekeeping requirements.
- Monitor warehouse facilities and material-handling equipment, and report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilization and operating performance, and support continuous improvement.
- Provide work instructions, briefings, training and coaching, and monitor employee attendance, discipline and performance.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management when required.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant warehouse experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG, with experience supervising warehouse personnel.
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, FIFO/FEFO and stock traceability.
- Hands-on leadership, planning, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of SAP or another warehouse management system is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, warehouse hygiene and workplace safety requirements is an advantage.
- Responsible, disciplined and able to work independently under pressure and beyond normal working hours when operationally required.
