Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to plan, coordinate and oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing and shipping goods, while upholding safety and compliance.

You will optimize warehouse layout, implement SOPs, maintain accurate inventory records, lead and develop staff, and collaborate with logistics partners to ensure on-time, cost-efficient deliveries and continuous process improvements.

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping operations.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Implement and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse processes.
• Ensure cleanliness, compliance with safety, security, environmental regulations and social responsibilities within the warehouse.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records, including regular cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and sales departments to ensure optimum stock level.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies, losses, and obsolete inventory.
• Identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as stockouts, overstock situations, and slow-moving items.

Team Leadership and Supervision:

• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Schedule and allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and initiate disciplinary actions when necessary.

Logistics Coordination:

• Collaborate with transportation providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including freight management, and documentation.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and transit times.
• Resolve any issues or delays in delivery and communicate with relevant parties.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance warehouse efficiency.
• Utilize data and analytics to analyze warehouse performance and identify key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve operational metrics, such as order fulfillment rates, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to warehousing and logistics.
