Job summary

Universal Traveller Shop Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Transformation Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead a project converting a traditional warehouse into a world‑class operation. You will oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping, driving accuracy and efficiency.

You will manage a warehouse team, align with company policy, implement WMS solutions, monitor KPIs, and pursue continuous improvement while maintaining safety and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a MUST.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse KPIs and performance metrics.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Warehouse Transformation Manager to lead the transformation of our traditional warehouse into a modern, efficient, and high-performance warehouse. Responsible to oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. Exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. Must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of product orders every year.

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision.

Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organising, directing and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring and managing operation goals.

Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping.

Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.

Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.

Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.

Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.

Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.

Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyse, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.

Maintain Warehouse staff job result by coaching, counselling, disciplining employees; planning, monitoring & appraising job result.

Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and transport company to ensure efficient delivery of packages

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Continuously seek ways to improve warehouse processes and operations through the adoption of new technologies and best practices.

Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.

Minimum 5 years of experience in managerial role.

Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.

Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a MUST

Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.

Leadership skills and ability manage staff.

Strong decision making and excellent problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills & ability to work with all levels of staff.

Knowledge on PayRecon-WMS & Gold Soft would be a surplus.
