Job summary

FOZ One Sdn Bhd, a premier contract manufacturer of household appliances based in Senai, Johor, Malaysia, seeks a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory control, and multi-modal shipments. About the Role

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager oversees end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory control, domestic and international shipments, and trade compliance. The position requires strong cross-functional coordination (Production, QA, Finance, Purchasing) to ensure on-time, accurate customer deliveries while driving cost savings and process improvements.

Core Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control:

Manage daily receiving, put-away, production material issuance, picking, packing, and finished goods storage.

Oversee space optimization, palletization, container loading, and WMS/ASRS/ERP systems utilization.

Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliation, variance investigations, and FIFO/FEFO rules.

Coordinate multi-modal (air, sea, land) import/export shipments for both local and overseas destinations.

Negotiate freight rates and manage performance of 3PLs, shipping lines, forwarding agents, and customs brokers.

Monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD), clear shipment bottlenecks, and handle urgent air-freight escalations using proper Incoterms.

Malaysian Customs & LMW Compliance:

Maintain strict adherence to Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) regulations and Malaysian Customs procedures.

Manage import/export documentation, preferential tariffs (ATIGA), duty/tax declarations, and LMW goods/scrap movements.

Prepare for official customs audits and ensure physical stock reconciles with ERP and customs records.

Cost Optimization & Process Improvement:

Control and minimize freight, air-escalation, 3PL, storage, demurrage, and operational costs.

Drive continuous improvement using 5S, Lean, or Kaizen principles; perform root-cause analysis for logistics emergencies.

Generate monthly cost-savings proposals and MRM/KPI performance reports.

Leadership & Safety:

Lead, schedule, and develop warehouse supervisors, operators, and forklift staff.

Enforce safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and housekeeping standards.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. Professional certifications in Supply Chain, Customs, or LMW are advantageous.

Experience: 8–12 years in warehouse and logistics operations, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Hands-on experience with LMW compliance and Malaysian Customs.

Proficiency in ERP, WMS, MRP, or ASRS software.

Proven track record in freight negotiation, vendor management, and cost reduction.
