Job summary

Kitron in Senai, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Warehouse Specialist to manage receiving, inventory accuracy, and order fulfilment. You will supervise shop orders, pack and prepare shipments, and ensure safe, orderly warehouse operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in warehouse/inventory roles, knowledge of ERP systems, and ability to work with English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency with forklifts and WMS is preferred, with a focus on process improvements and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years in warehouse operations or inventory management, EMS preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Knowledge of electronic components and handling standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Job Description:

1. Inventory Management

• Oversee receiving, inspection, and accurate recording of incoming shipments.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of inventory.
• Perform regular stock counts, including cycle counts and annual physical inventory, reconcile discrepancies monthly to ensure inventory accuracy.

2. Shop Order Preparation & Order Fulfillment

• Supervise and coordinate the preparation of shop orders, including but not limited to kitting, rigging, and label printing.
• Ensure timely picking, packing, and shipment preparation in line with production and delivery schedules.
• Verify order accuracy and coordinate with logistics for timely and successful dispatch.
• Oversee the packing of finished goods (FG) and ensure FG is ready for shipment.

3. Warehouse Operations

• Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and Kardex systems.
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse to comply with safety standards.
• Implement, adhere to, and regularly review safety and security procedures within the warehouse environment.
• Assist in warehouse layout planning and optimize space utilization according to material type, size, and handling requirements.

4. Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
• Prepare, generate, and manage reports on inventory levels, order statuses, and inbound/outbound operations.
• Operate the IFS ERP system to record and manage inventory data, ensuring that all entries are accurate and current.
• Ensure records are easily accessible for audit and reporting purposes.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders.

5. Process Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities for process efficiency and operational improvements.

6. Other Responsibilities

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and supply chain teams.

Qualification & requirements

• Candidate must possess a certificate or diploma in supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
• Proven 3 to 5 years' experience in a warehouse operations or inventory management role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, handling standards, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia in both verbal and written communication.
