Key responsibilities
IT Service
- Responsible for the IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, security, and support.
- Maintain and update regularly on IT network and equipment.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all IT systems and data, and oversee compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Support, monitor, and troubleshoot the company's virtual and physical servers and individual users' computers.
- Responsible for assigning or solving incoming tickets in a timely manner.
- Prioritize factory IT systems and infrastructure availability to minimize production disruptions
- Ensure adequate competency and capacity to operate the factory’s local IT infrastructure, and similar capability for service restorations
- Actively work to prevent adversaries from gaining access to Kitron information and digital processing facilities
- Follow Company planned maintenance programs for the factory’s local IT infrastructure
- Adhere to Company hardware/software standards for the factory’s local IT infrastructure, closely aligned with LMT’s investment strategy
- Build and maintain IT infrastructure with focus on zero trust, high availability, disaster recovery, immutable backup, and swift service restoration capabilities
- Order IT equipment under defined standards and install, configure hardware and software, and printers according to company standards.
Group IT & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the key local contact between Malaysia site and Group IT.
- Work with internal departments, suppliers and service providers to resolve IT issues and support business needs.
- Participate in Group IT projects, system rollouts and improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with the Local Management Team and functional departments to understand operational requirements and IT priorities.
- Provide regular updates to local management on major IT incidents, infrastructure risks, upcoming activities and areas requiring management attention.
Documentation
- Maintain IT asset records, licenses, documentation and relevant IT procedures.
- Track IT service, infrastructure and security KPIs where required.
- Escalate major or critical IT incidents to Corporate IT and coordinate the required support.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve IT incidents and technical issues.
Others
- Support on general admin roles of office.
- Support ISO 27001 and other IT/security-related audits, including documentation preparation, evidence collection, audit coordination and closure of findings.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Good knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies
- Positive attitude, maintain a high level of integrity and possess the ability to work independently
- Proven experience in IT executive roles
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage supplier relationships
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia in both verbal and written communication
