Job summary

XPENG in Malaysia is hiring for a Warehouse/Materials role focused on abnormal material management, replacement parts handling, and precise inventory control. You will ensure proper storage, labeling, and protection of materials while coordinating with production, quality, and China logistics teams to address shortages and material issues.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or above, with warehouse experience and proficiency in ERP/WMS systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Abnormal Material Management: manage shortages, scrap, defective parts including counting, labeling, segregation, record keeping, and replenishment follow-up.
• Replacement Parts and Spare Parts Management: manage parts for production/rework and equipment spares, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory control.
• Inventory and Stock Reconciliation: maintain records for shortages, defective parts, scrap, replacement/spare parts; update data and perform regular stock counts.
• Warehouse On-site Management: ensure proper zoning, labeling, storage, and protection of materials including moisture/dust/rust-proofing and safety requirements.
• Cross-functional Coordination: coordinate with local production and quality teams and China logistics, communicate shortages and status, drive issue closure.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• 1. Abnormal Material Management: Manage shortages, production/material scrap and defective automotive parts, including counting, classification, labeling, segregation, record keeping, and follow-up on replenishment, rework, return, replacement, and scrap disposal.
• 2. Replacement Parts and Spare Parts Management: Manage replacement parts for production and rework, as well as equipment spare parts, including receiving, storage, issuance, and inventory control, ensuring accurate and timely material supply.
• 3. Inventory and Stock Reconciliation: Maintain records for shortages, defective parts, scrap, replacement parts, and spare parts. Update system data in a timely manner, conduct regular stock counts and book-to-physical reconciliation, and follow up on inventory discrepancies.
• 4. Warehouse On-site Management: Ensure proper zoning, labeling, storage, and protection of special materials, including moisture-proof, dust-proof, rust-proof, and warehouse safety requirements, to prevent material mixing, misplacement, or loss.
• 5. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with local production and quality teams and the China logistics operations team, promptly communicate material shortages, inventory status, and abnormalities, and drive issue closure.

Qualifications:

• 1. High school diploma or above; warehouse experience in the automotive parts or automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.
• 2. Familiar with automotive parts receiving, storage, issuance, inventory counting, and abnormal material handling.
• 3. Experience in shortages, defective parts, scrap, or replacement parts management is preferred.
• 4. Proficient in office software and capable of preparing material records and inventory reports; ERP/WMS experience is preferred.
• 5. Good working English for daily communication and handling English documents; Mandarin is a plus.
• 6. Detail-oriented, responsible, and execution-focused, with the ability to work in warehouse operations, conduct inventory checks, and coordinate across functions.
• 7. Candidates with automotive plant or contract manufacturing warehouse experience are preferred.
