Job summary

Blum Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Shift Leader Assistant in Gelang Patah, Malaysia. This hands-on role supports daily operations across receiving, put-away, picking, packing and loading, leading the floor team in the absence of the Shift Leader, and ensuring targets for productivity, accuracy and service levels are met.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in a warehouse leadership role, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in a Warehouse Management

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in a warehouse setting, preferably outbound logistics.
• Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse workers focusing on receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping activities.
• Monitor team performance to ensure orders are processed per company standards and customer expectations.
• Train and coach new team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
• Conduct regular progress reports and provide feedback to senior management.
• Manage inventory accuracy through proper handling and storage; minimize unnecessary handling and adjustments.
• Respond promptly to issues in order fulfilment to minimize disruption.
• Other tasks as assigned by Superior.

Job description

The Warehouse Shift Leader Assistant supports the Warehouse Shift Leader in managing daily operations for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and loading within the warehouse. This role is hands-on and focuses on coordinating day-to-day execution on the floor, monitoring adherence to processes and safety standards, supporting training of team members, and ensuring operational targets for productivity, accuracy, and service level are achieved. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who can step in to lead during the Shift Leader’s absence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of warehouse workers, focusing on receiving, putting away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.

Besides leading the team an essential part of your work are classic manual warehouse activities like put away incoming items, pick items for customer orders consolidate them to shipments and load these shipments to containers.

Monitor team performance to ensure that all orders are processed in accordance with company standards and customer expectations.

Train and coach new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.

Conduct regular progress reports and provide feedback on team operations to senior management.

Manage inventory accuracy through proper handling and storage practices and minimizing unnecessary handling and adjustments.

Respond to issues in the order fulfilment process promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Other task as assigned by Superior.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a warehouse setting, preferably in outbound logistics.

Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage, guide, and motivate a team.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.

Good communication skills with proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English

Working hours:

Monday to Saturday , 8am - 8pm (OT will be paid accordingly)
