Job summary

OSREN® (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator to support day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage, inventory control, order fulfilment, packing and stock movement.

Qualifications

Job description

The Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting efficient day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage of goods, inventory control, order fulfilment, packing, stock movement, product preparation and general warehouse upkeep. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, safety-conscious and detail-oriented, with the ability to operate a forklift safely and maintain accurate stock handling practices.

Key responsibilities

Receive and check incoming goods against delivery documents and relevant records.

Inspect incoming goods for damages, shortages or discrepancies and report issues promptly.

Assist with unloading shipments and move stock safely to designated storage locations.

Label, organise and store stock correctly to support easy retrieval and efficient space utilisation.

Conduct cycle counts, physical inventory checks and stocktakes as required.

Update inventory records in the warehouse management system and investigate stock discrepancies.

Follow FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.

Pick customer orders accurately according to picking lists, orders and shipment schedules.

Verify product SKU, description and quantity before packing.

Pack items securely, apply correct shipping labels and prepare completed orders for dispatch, collection or delivery.

Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.

Operate forklifts and authorised material-handling equipment safely for loading, unloading, put-away and stock movement.

Move, stack and retrieve goods according to warehouse procedures and designated storage locations.

Conduct pre-use safety checks and report equipment defects, damage or unsafe conditions immediately.

Follow warehouse traffic, pedestrian, loading and workplace safety procedures, and operate equipment only with appropriate training and company authorisation.

Assemble or prepare products according to specifications and company requirements before dispatch.

Maintain quality standards and report defects or issues during assembly or product preparation.

Keep storage, picking, packing, assembly and loading areas clean, safe and organised.

Use required personal protective equipment and dispose of packaging materials, waste and recyclables appropriately.

Assist with general warehouse and facility tasks, support the warehouse team during high-volume periods and complete other reasonable warehouse-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

What we're looking for

Minimum SPM or equivalent.

Previous warehouse, logistics or inventory handling experience is preferred.

Valid forklift operator training, certification or recognised competency training is preferred; relevant operating experience is an advantage.

Ability to operate a forklift safely and confidently in a warehouse environment.

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems are an advantage.

Ability to read and understand basic English and/or Bahasa Malaysia for work instructions, labels and warehouse documentation.

Physical capability to carry out manual warehouse duties, including handling cartons and products safely.

Strong attention to detail when checking SKUs, quantities, stock locations and order accuracy.

Responsible, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Willingness to perform general warehouse duties in addition to forklift operation when required.

Good awareness of workplace safety, housekeeping and proper stock-handling practices.
