Job summary

Eng Kah Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Warehouse Officer to support daily warehouse operations, receiving, issuing, picking, and inventory control. You will help ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance and accurate stock records in our busy facility in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, with experience in ERP systems and safe operation of material handling equipment, and will collaborate with storekeepers to maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse roles with inbound/outbound activities.
• Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO inventory control.
• Capable of lifting and physical handling as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, store and issue materials according to procedures.
• Coordinate with storekeepers and production for timely material flow.
• Maintain 5S and safety standards across the warehouse.
• Support forklift and other material handling tasks when authorized.
• Maintain accurate ERP transaction records and stock counts.
• Perform cycle counts and discrepancy investigations as needed.
• Assist in daily work assignments and housekeeping in the warehouse.

Job description

The Warehouse Officer performs and supports daily warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, loading, picking, issuing, transferring, storing, arranging, and handling of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other company goods. The role involves material issuing and production/shipment support, inventory control with FIFO/FEFO compliance, storekeeper coordination, and maintaining housekeeping and safety standards across warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

Perform and support daily warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, loading, picking, issuing, transferring, storing, arranging, and handling of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other company goods

Assist in physical warehouse work including picking, stock movement, put away, loading/unloading, stock arrangement, and urgent operational support

Ensure materials and finished goods are handled properly according to part number/material number, description, quantity, batch/lot number, expiry date, location, document, and physical condition

Support forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, or other material handling activities where authorized

Lead, perform, and support RM/PM/FG issuing activities according to approved pick list, production requirement, shipment requirement, ERP/system instruction, or superior instruction

Follow and verify FIFO/FEFO control during receiving, storage, picking, issuing, transfer, stock arrangement, and shipment preparation

Conduct and support stock count, cycle count, ad-hoc count, discrepancy checking, and stock investigation when required

Assist in assigning and coordinating daily work for storekeepers based on operational priority, pick list urgency, inbound status, stock count requests and manpower availability

Maintain and monitor good housekeeping, 5S, cleanliness, accessibility and safety at assigned store area, warehouse area, rack, staging area, quarantine area, and loading bay

Perform any other warehouse-related duties, tasks, projects, or responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time

About you

Able to assist in physical warehouse work whenever required

Authorized to support forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, or other material handling activities

Capable of performing storekeeper duties when required due to manpower shortage, urgent production requirement, shipment urgency, or instruction from superior

Able to personally handle assigned RM/PM issuing duties and ensure assigned pick lists are completed within the required timeline

Capable of monitoring urgent production requirements, pending pick lists, overdue jobs, material shortage and issue exceptions

Able to highlight and follow up on stock discrepancy, system mismatch, wrong location, expired stock, near-expiry stock, blocked stock, damaged stock, unclear label, or abnormal stock condition

Capable of checking storekeeper daily progress, KPI tracker updates, pending jobs, balance quantity, status, remarks, and exception reasons

Able to update or verify warehouse records, ERP/system transactions, KPI tracker, stock count records, receiving records, issuing records, and related documents where required

Capable of supporting discipline, punctuality, safety awareness, security control, and compliance with company rules, warehouse SOP, and operational instructions
