Job summary

Inter Island is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support daily factory and warehouse operations in Kulai, Malaysia. The role requires hands-on forklift operation and strong Excel-based inventory updates.

Qualifications

• SPM/ Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for inventory updates and basic reporting.
• Language proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily warehouse and factory operations, including receiving, storing, staging, and dispatching goods.
• Operate forklift for loading, unloading, and internal material movement; experience with larger forklifts preferred.
• Maintain stock inventory accuracy, quality, and documentation.
• Update inventory records in Excel including stock movements and reporting.
• Pack goods for delivery according to shipment requirements.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile variances.
• Maintain delivery orders, goods received notes, and stock movement forms.
• Ensure warehouse housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Support additional tasks from the Factory Manager as needed.

The Warehouse Assistant supports daily factory and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling, accurate inventory control, and safe movement of goods. The role requires hands-on forklift operation experience and strong competency in updating inventory records using Microsoft Excel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Execute daily warehouse and factory operational activities, including receiving, storing, staging, and dispatching goods.
2. 2. Operate 3-4 ton forklift for loading, unloading, and internal material movement; experience with 10-ton forklifts is highly preferred.
3. 3. Perform strict control of stock inventory, ensuring accuracy of physical quantity, quality, and documentation.
4. 4. Update inventory records in Microsoft Excel, including stock movements, adjustments, and periodic reporting.
5. 5. Pack goods for delivery (e.g. shrink wrapping, boxing, palletizing, labelling) according to shipment requirements.
6. 6. Conduct periodic and ad-hoc stock counts, reconcile variances, and ensure timely system updates.
7. 7. Maintain proper record keeping of delivery orders, goods received notes, stock movement forms, and other relevant documentation.
8. 8. Ensure warehouse housekeeping, safety compliance, and proper storage practices.
9. 9. Support any additional operational tasks assigned by the Factory Manager from time to time.
