Job summary

SMBC Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Capability Development Lead to drive learning portfolios and program lifecycles. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Asia Pacific to design scalable solutions and align initiatives with business priorities.

You will develop strategies, conduct reviews, and apply AI-enabled tools to improve learning outcomes while maintaining governance and analytics for portfolio oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years in capability development, L&D or related roles.
• Experience managing learning portfolios and curricula.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior teams.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting and dashboards.
• Digital fluency with Microsoft 365 and AI productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Faculty Lead in managing capability portfolios and program lifecycles.
• Conduct curriculum reviews and suggest enhancements based on priorities and trends.
• Assist capability planning aligned with business needs across Asia Pacific.
• Develop and support capability strategies, proposals and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and learning providers to design scalable solutions.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and digital tools for productivity and learning.
• Maintain governance, documentation, dashboards and portfolio performance tracking.
• Drive process improvement and adoption of digital solutions.
• Coordinate program implementation, updates and stakeholder communications.
• Design and facilitate learning interventions across formats as appropriate.
