Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior Audit professional to lead and/or participate in Consumer / Retail Banking risk-based audits, including Basel II/III frameworks and Basel-related projects such as IRBA models. You will audit end-to-end processes, assess risks and controls, and propose practical, business-focused enhancements.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree with extensive experience (15+ years) in retail banking risk.
• Strong knowledge of Basel II/III and IRBA models; Basel-related projects.
• Experience in risk management, portfolio management, or data modelling is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python or R for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or participate in Consumer / Retail Banking risk-based audits.
• Assess risks and controls; recommend practical business-focused improvements.
• Drive adoption of data analytics, GenAI, and other digital tools in audits.
• Leverage Excel, SAS, SQL, or Python to identify early warning signals.
• Engage with senior management and stakeholders; communicate audit issues confidently.
• Demonstrate sound judgment, political astuteness and cultural sensitivity.
