Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an Audit Manager in Consumer Banking Audit to lead audits across credit risk and related portfolios. You will work with a team to deliver independent assurance, identify control gaps, and propose practical improvements while aligning with Group Audit standards.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, data analytics and the use of AI/ML tools to enhance audit effectiveness. A bachelor degree and professional qualifications, with at least five years of consumer banking

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; professional qualification preferred (CPA/ACCA/CA/CIA/CB/PCC).
• At least five years of auditing or credit/business experience in Consumer and/or Small Business.
• Good understanding of risks and controls in credit and non-credit businesses (Secured & Unsecured Lending, Wealth Management, AML).
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to lead in a team and respond to pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct audits relating to the consumer banking business, including credit risk audits, to provide independent assurance and recommendations.
• Work with a team of auditors to complete engagements on time, within budget and to standards.
• Document working papers and evidence; review others' work.
• Evaluate root causes and propose practical, sustainable improvements to internal controls.
• Assess evidence adequacy for closure of audit issues and monitor ongoing risk themes.
