Job summary

The Applications Engineer will evaluate, verify and develop machine vision systems to client specs, perform on-site setup and testing, troubleshoot, and work with other departments to define requirements for complete business solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/postgraduate in Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of machine vision is an added advantage.
• Familiar with Keyence programming preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask and work under pressure.
• Languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Carry out evaluation, verification and development of machine vision systems based on client requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies based on client requirements.
• On-site setup and testing of machine vision systems.

• Test and debug vision modules, automation equipment, jigs, and fittings.

Job description

Carry out the evaluation, verification, and development of machine vision application systems based on client requirements.

Conduct feasibility studies based on client requirements.

Be responsible for the on-site setup and testing of machine vision systems.

Perform troubleshooting and provide technical assistance to customers.

Work closely with other departments to define requirements for the development of complete business solutions.

Test and debug vision modules, automation equipment, jigs, and fittings.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the HOD from time to time.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, preferably in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Computer Science/Software, Automation, or an equivalent field.

Knowledge of machine vision is an added advantage.

Candidates who are familiar with Keyence programming are preferred.

Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritise tasks, multitask, and work under pressure.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese.
