Job summary

X Star Technology Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Social Media Executive to capture high-quality videos and edit engaging content for social media platforms across Malaysia and Asia.

Job description

Capture high-quality videos of vehicles, people, and promotional content.

Edit engaging short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms.

Synchronize video, audio, subtitles, sound effects, and background music.

Optimize content according to each platform’s best practices (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Xiaohongshu).

Collaborate with the content and livestream teams on creative ideas and video concepts.

Independently manage projects from filming to final delivery.

Produce a minimum of 7 completed videos per week (approximately 3–5 minutes each).

Deliver content on schedule while continuously improving video quality and performance.

Job Requirement:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Video Production, Multimedia, Mass Communication, Broadcasting, Digital Media, Creative Media, or a related field;

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply;

Candidates without formal qualifications but with a strong portfolio and relevant video production/editing skills are also encouraged to apply;

Able to produce high-quality videos with a fast turnaround time;

Good sense of visual storytelling, composition, and aesthetics;

Own transportation is required;

Proficient in Chinese, Malay, and English (spoken and written);

Able to create accurate subtitles, captions, and on-screen text in all three languages;

Proficient in at least one video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve;

Experience creating content for TikTok, Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, or Xiaohongshu (RED) is an advantage;

5-day work week;

9 working hours per day with flexible start times (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM).

Qualifications That Are a Plus

Knowledge of lighting setup and audio recording.

Experience with color grading and motion graphics.

Understanding of TikTok trends and viral content strategies.

Previous experience managing or growing social media accounts is an advantage.
