Job summary

X Star Technology in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, seeks a skilled video editor to capture and edit automotive videos for social media, producing 7+ videos weekly (3–5 minutes each) and delivering content on schedule with strong visual storytelling. You will synchronize video, audio, subtitles, SFX and BGM, edit for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Xiaohongshu, and collaborate with content and livestream teams.

Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, multilingual

Qualifications

• Strong skills in video shooting and editing.
• Able to produce high-quality videos with a fast turnaround time.
• Good sense of visual storytelling, composition, and aesthetics.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on video quality.
• Own transportation is required.
• Proficient in Chinese, Malay, and English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience creating content for TikTok, Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, or Xiaohongshu is an advantage.
• Passion for the automotive industry is a plus.
• 5-day work week.
• 9 working hours per day with flexible start times.

• Passion for the automotive industry is a plus.
• 5-day work week.
• 9 working hours per day with flexible start times (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of lighting setup and audio recording.
• Experience with color grading and motion graphics.
• Understanding of TikTok trends and viral content strategies.
• Previous experience managing or growing social media accounts is an advantage.
