OHM Maritime Sdn Bhd in Penang invites applications for a Shipping Operations Assistant. You will assist in daily shipping and vessel operations, coordinate crew sign-on/off, immigration clearance, and ensure timely vessel clearances.

The role requires coordination with vessel crews, port authorities, and government agencies, along with general administrative support. Fresh graduates are welcome, with opportunities to work at port locations and flexible hours when needed.

Competenze

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in shipping, maritime, port operations, or vessel agency will be an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to attend vessels and work at port locations when required.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends/public holidays when necessary.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess a valid driving licence would be an advantage.

Mansioni

• Attend vessels at port and assist with vessel-related operational matters.
• Coordinate and assist with crew sign-on and sign-off procedures.
• Handle and coordinate immigration clearance for crew members and vessel personnel.
• Liaise with the Harbour Master/Port Authority to arrange and obtain necessary vessel clearances.
• Assist with customs clearance and submission of required customs documentation.
• Prepare, check, and maintain shipping and vessel-related documents and records.
• Coordinate with relevant government agencies, port authorities, agents, and other parties regarding vessel operations.
• Ensure required documents and clearances are completed accurately and within the required timeframe.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the shipping team.
• Perform other duties related to shipping and vessel operations as assigned by the supervisor.
