Job summary

SAILION SHIPPING SDN BHD is seeking a Maritime Operations Coordinator in Malaysia to assist in coordinating vessel arrivals, departures, berthing, and related shipping documentation. You will liaise with port authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.

The role requires a diploma or degree in Maritime Studies or Logistics and at least 1 year in shipping, with strong communication and negotiation skills to support planning, crew changes, and cargo

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of shipping industry experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience coordinating vessel movements and shipping documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures and berthing per port regulations.
• Prepare and review bills of lading, cargo manifests and related paperwork.
• Liaise with port authorities, shipping lines and stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Plan vessel movements, cargo operations and crew changes.
• Assist with customs documentation and clearance processes for vessels and cargo.
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and company policies.

About you

A diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related field

Minimum 1 year of experience in the shipping industry, preferably in a similar role
