Job summary

SAILION SHIPPING SDN BHD is seeking a shipping coordinator to help manage vessel arrivals, departures and berthing in line with port regulations. You will prepare bills of lading, cargo manifests and related paperwork, liaise with port authorities and shipping lines to keep operations smooth.

You will assist with planning vessel movements, cargo operations and crew changes, and help with customs documentation and clearance.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in the shipping industry.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination of vessel arrivals, departures, and berthing arrangements in compliance with port and maritime regulations.
Prepare, review, and manage shipping documents such as bills of lading, cargo manifests, and other required paperwork.
Liaise with port authorities, shipping lines, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Support in the planning and scheduling of vessel movements, cargo operations, and crew changes.
Assist with customs documentation and clearance processes for vessels and cargo.
Ensure all operations adhere to local and international shipping regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
