Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Vessel Boarding Officer to act as on-site representative at Malaysian ports, coordinating with ship crews, port authorities and service providers to ensure smooth arrivals, departures and compliance with regulations.

The role demands proactive communication, meticulous record-keeping, and the ability to manage vessel logistics, crew changes, and documentation in a 24/7 operations environment across Pasir Gudang and other ports.

Responsibilities

• Attend vessels at berth to facilitate arrival, stay, and departure formalities.
• Coordinate with port authorities, immigration, customs, and marine department for clearances.
• Deliver and collect ship documents and maintain records.
• Assist in crew changes and immigration coordination.
• Ensure ISPS and safety protocols are followed on/offboard.
• Communicate schedules and requirements among ship, agency, and shore teams.
