Job summary

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Vessel Boarding Officer in Malaysia to manage on-site vessel arrivals and departures at Malaysian ports. You will coordinate with port authorities, immigration and service providers to ensure smooth operations, documentation and regulatory compliance.

The role requires ensuring ISPS and safety protocols are followed, maintaining accurate records and supporting crew changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in maritime operations and port formalities.
• Ability to coordinate with ship crew, port authorities and service providers.
• Strong understanding of safety, security and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend vessels at berth, anchorage, or offshore terminal to facilitate arrivals, stays and departures.
• Coordinate with port authorities, immigration, customs, and marine department for clearances.
• Deliver and collect ship documents and assist crew changes.
• Ensure compliance with ISPS and safety protocols onboard and at port.
• Communicate schedules and requirements between ship, agency and shore teams.
• Maintain records of boarding activities, reports and expenses.
• Support emergency operations and after-hours vessel needs.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
