Job summary

Maxis Mobile Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Value Added Services Design SME to lead end-to-end VAS design for mobile subscribers. You will define specs, UX flows and business cases while collaborating with product, engineering, marketing and operations to drive launches.

The role requires 5–7 years' VAS experience in telecoms, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of delivering innovative VAS solutions with regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus and beneficial for progression.
• 5-7 years of experience in product design, development or management in VAS/telecoms.
• Strong understanding of mobile network tech and VAS applications.
• Proven track record launching and managing innovative VAS products.
• Analytical skills for market research, business cases and data-driven decisions.
• Experience creating detailed product specs, wireframes and UX designs.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; agile knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of new VAS products and services.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for VAS opportunities.
• Define product specs, user stories and UX flows for VAS offerings.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing and ops for delivery and launch.
• Develop business cases and financial models including revenue and cost analysis.
• Drive lifecycle management and continuous improvement of existing VAS.
• Act as SME for VAS design and guidance to stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and industry best practices for VAS.
• Present concepts, designs and performance updates to senior management.
