Job summary

Maxis Broadband Sdn Bhd is seeking a Value Added Service Design SME to lead end-to-end design and development of innovative VAS for mobile subscribers, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals.

You will work with product management, engineering, marketing and operations to deliver high-quality VAS offerings, build business cases, and create UX flows while driving lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product design, development, or management specifically within Value Added Services (VAS) in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of mobile network technologies, platforms, and their application in VAS.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing innovative VAS products.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, business case development, and data-driven decision making.
• Proficient in creating detailed product specifications, wireframes, and user experience (UX) designs.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of new VAS products and services, aligning with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the VAS landscape.
• Define detailed product specifications, user stories, and user experience (UX) flows for VAS offerings.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless product delivery and launch.
• Develop business cases and financial models for proposed VAS, including revenue projections, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.
• Drive the continuous improvement and lifecycle management of existing VAS, identifying enhancement opportunities and addressing performance issues.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all aspects of VAS design and implementation, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for VAS development.
• Present VAS concepts, designs, and performance updates to senior management.
