About the role

Merry Kingdom Sdn Bhd (Penang) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Van Salesman to join our sales team. This is a full-time position based in Pahang, where you will be responsible for driving sales and delivering products directly to customers from a company vehicle. As a Van Salesman, you will be the face of our brand, building relationships with clients and ensuring excellent customer service whilst achieving sales targets. This role is crucial to our business growth and market penetration in the Pahang region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a company van to visit assigned customers and potential clients across the Pahang territory
• Demonstrate and promote products to customers, highlighting key features and benefits
• Process customer orders and ensure accurate documentation of sales transactions
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities and territory performance
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team performance goals
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide product knowledge to customers
• Collect payments and manage cash handling in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain van cleanliness and ensure product stock is organised and properly displayed
• Report regularly on market feedback, competitor activity and customer requirements
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Sales Representative, Van Salesman or similar direct sales role
• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
• Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently
• Reliable and punctual with strong time management skills
• Customer service focus with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
• Basic numeracy skills for processing transactions and managing stock
• Familiarity with mobile devices or sales tracking systems is advantageous
• Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is preferred
