Job summary

AIG Shared Services (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Financial Lines Underwriting Analyst to handle underwriting and business administration duties, including D&O, POSI, PI, Cyber and Crime insurance. You will establish relationships with brokers, agents and direct clients to renew and secure new business.

The role requires a tertiary degree and at least 5 years of underwriting experience, with strong English and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in a related field.
• Good command of English – spoken and written.
• 5+ years of Underwriting experience (Financial Lines, Casualty).
• Inquisitive and willing to learn.
• Team Player, strong communication and interpersonal skill.

Responsibilities

• Follow underwriting guidelines for all product lines.
• Handle renewal and new business to meet department budget.
• Adhere to corporate and underwriting guidelines, plus regulatory and legal compliance.
• Maintain outstanding premium.
• Assist producers and clients with product queries.
• Support marketing activities: broker/client meetings, seminars, and product training.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Overall Job Purpose

Financial Lines (FL) Underwriting Analyst and business administrative functions, including D&O, POSI, PI, Cyber and Crime Insurance. Establish Professional and Close Relationship with our producers, including Brokers, Agents and Direct Clients.

• Comply with all Product Lines Underwriting Guidelines.
• Responsible for Renewal and New Business in order to achieve department budget.
• Comply with Corporate Guidelines, Underwriting Guidelines, as well as AIG, Regulatory and Legal Compliances.
• Responsible for Outstanding Premium.
• Assist with product enquiries from our producers and clients.
• Assist with Marketing Activities includes Brokers Meeting, Client Meetings, Attending Seminar and Products Training.
• Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Direct Report Manager and Department Head.
