Position Overview
The Transport / Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all transportation operations within the company. This role ensures that the movement of goods, vehicles, and drivers is carried out efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while maintaining compliance with all legal, safety, and regulatory requirements. The Transport / Logistics Manager also drives continuous improvement in fleet utilization, route optimization, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
- Plan, organize, and manage the daily transportation operations to meet business needs;
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods, minimizing delays and disruptions;
- Monitor and optimize fleet performance, including fuel usage, routes, and vehicle availability.
2. Fleet & Driver Management
- Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and compliant;
- Manage driver recruitment, training, rosters, and performance;
- Enforce driver safety policies and ensure compliance with traffic laws and company standards.
3. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to transportation laws, permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements;
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, insurance, and statutory inspections;
- Implement and monitor health & safety procedures, including incident reporting.
4. Financial & Strategic Management
- Develop and manage the transport budget, including cost control for fuel, maintenance, and labor;
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors (leasing companies, service providers, fuel suppliers);
- Analyze KPIs and implement improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.
- Work with internal departments (warehousing, sales, operations) to align transportation with business needs (Warehousing, Customer Service and Operations);
- Address customer concerns related to delivery times, damages, or service issues;
- Support logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Develop efficient and quality of service under operation team towards better control of overall depot operation;

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred);
- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management;
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, fleet operations, and compliance standards, with hands‑on experience in JPJ and APAD regulations, as well as ICOP requirements.;
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills;
- Strong leadership and team management abilities;
- Proficient in transport management systems (TMS), route planning, and MS Office;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
