Translator - Listing & Content, MY Marketplace
Responsibilities
- Translate written and verbal communications between English and Bahasa Malaysia for business purposes, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness
- Oversee the curation of marketplace content, ensuring the accuracy and legitimacy of listings through rigorous quality checks, while categorizing items into their appropriate categories
- Be responsible for monitoring and reporting on agent performance with a focus on accuracy and consistency, while providing coaching and guidance to subordinates to enhance their skills and effectiveness
- Elevate and elevate red flags to the team lead from a duty‑of‑care perspective and assist in other ad‑hoc tasks
- Proactively identify opportunities for workflow improvement and demonstrate a strong ability to propose effective solutions for daily task optimization
- Participate in developing quality inspection standards and continuously optimize & streamline the process and system platform
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute listing‑related inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, more than 2 years of experience in content moderation
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written forms
- Prior experience in translation or related fields is preferred
- Good understanding of the E-commerce platform
- Able to work on repetitive tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- Good analytical and ability to abstract problems and find solutions proactively
- Able to work under minimal supervision and have strong logic/ common sense related to the job nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiar with MS Office software such as Excel, Word, etc. Data processing experience and other data analysis capabilities are preferred
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
