We are looking for a proactive and capable Training Executive / Internal Trainer to develop, coordinate and conduct internal training programmes for new and existing employees across all departments.
The successful candidate will work closely with Heads of Department (HODs) and departmental specialists to understand work processes, identify learning needs and develop practical training materials. The role will conduct general and process-related training independently once familiar with the content, while working with departmental specialists to deliver technical or specialised training.
This position supports employee onboarding, competency development and improvements in work quality and performance.
Training Needs and Planning
Work with HODs to identify training needs, recurring knowledge gaps and areas for employee development.
Develop and maintain a training calendar based on onboarding needs, departmental priorities and business requirements.
Coordinate training schedules, participants, materials and arrangements with relevant departments.
Training Content Development
Work with HODs and experienced employees to understand departmental SOPs, systems and work processes.
Develop structured training modules, presentations, manuals, SOP training guides and practical exercises.
Create case studies, workplace scenarios, problem-solving exercises and recommended solutions based on actual business situations.
Structure training sessions to include explanation, demonstration, practice, discussion, feedback and assessment.
Obtain validation from the relevant HOD or departmental specialist to ensure training content is accurate and aligned with approved processes.
Training Delivery
Conduct company onboarding, general workplace training and approved process-related training for new and existing employees.
Deliver departmental SOP and system training once sufficiently familiar with the subject matter.
Work with departmental specialists to organise and deliver technical or specialised training.
Facilitate workshops, role plays, group discussions and practical activities appropriate to the learning objectives.
Conduct refresher training and provide follow-up learning support based on identified employee needs.
Assessment and Improvement
Develop and administer quizzes, written tests and practical assessments to check employee understanding.
Work with HODs and departmental specialists to define assessment criteria and verify job-specific competency.
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessment results, participant feedback and supervisor feedback on workplace application.
Recommend retraining, coaching or further development where learning gaps remain.
Review and update training materials when policies, SOPs, products, systems or business processes change.
Continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
Training Administration
Maintain accurate training attendance, assessment results and employee training records.
Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, outstanding learning needs and recommended follow-up actions.
Perform other training and employee development duties as assigned by Management.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Training and Development, Management or a related field.
Preferably 2-5 years of relevant experience in corporate training, learning and development, or an operational role with regular training responsibilities.
Hands-on experience in developing training materials and conducting employee training is required.
Strong presentation, communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to conduct training for employees at different levels.
Ability to learn departmental processes and translate complex information into clear, practical learning materials.
Ability to develop relevant case studies, workplace scenarios, exercises and assessments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with the ability to use relevant digital training tools.
Patient, approachable and able to adapt training methods to different learning needs.
Proactive, responsible and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaborate closely with different departments.
