Job summary

Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn. Bhd. is seeking experienced Trackwork Engineers to support delivery of trackwork and permanent-way systems for the Penang Mutiara Line.

You will review design submissions, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and monitor construction activities to ensure safety and quality. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Railway Engineering with at least two years of relevant trackwork experience, and familiarity with metro/train infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related engineering discipline with CGPA of 3.0 or higher.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience in trackwork, permanent-way engineering or railway infrastructure.

About the role

MRT Corp is seeking experienced Trackwork Engineers to support delivery of trackwork and permanent-way systems for the Penang Mutiara Line.

What you will do

The work includes rail installation, sleepers, fastening systems, turnouts, rail welding and stressing, ballasted and slab track, track geometry, testing and trial-running activities.

What we are looking for

A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with minimum CGPA of 3.0, with at least two years of relevant professional experience in trackwork, permanent-way engineering or railway infrastructure.

Experience in metro, Light Rail Transit, Mass Rapid Transit, high-speed rail or mainline railway projects is advantageous.

This position is offered on a 2-year fixed-term contract, with competitive benefits and an option for renewal based on performance.
