System Safety Assurance Engineer – Railway

About the role
MRT Corp is seeking an experienced System Safety Assurance Engineer to support the Penang Mutiara Line Railway Systems team.

What you will do
Support system safety assurance activities across multidisciplinary railway systems and work with project teams, contractors and other technical stakeholders throughout design, integration, testing and project delivery. The role requires comfort with technical documentation, multidisciplinary interfaces, engineering reviews and project stakeholders.

What we are looking for
A relevant engineering degree with minimum CGPA of 3.0, and prior relevant experience in railway system safety, safety assurance or a closely related safety-critical engineering environment. Experience in metro, Light Rail Transit, Mass Rapid Transit, mainline rail or other safety-critical infrastructure is highly relevant.

MRT Corp was established in 2011 and is fully owned by the Minister of Finance (Incorporated). In 2017, MRT Corp successfully delivered the country’s first MRT line, MRT Kajang Line. This is followed by the MRT Putrajaya Line which was successfully delivered in 2023.

MRT Corp has also been appointed as the Malaysian InfraCo for the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project between Johor Bahru and Singapore. The full opening of the line is targeted to be on 31 December 2026.
