Job summary

GRAND VENTURE TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN. BHD. seeks a results-driven Maintenance Manager in Penang to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of production assets.

You will analyze CNC performance, MTBF, MTTR and OEE, and lead root cause investigations to deliver long-term reliability improvements. You will develop data-driven maintenance plans, optimize spare parts inventory, and coach the maintenance team in lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in maintenance management overseeing complex operations.
• Solid understanding of CNC technologies, maintenance practices and machine tool performance.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job description

Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of company assets and other production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.

Analyze machine performance data, focusing on Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Conduct in-depth studies on machine utilization and efficiency to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements.

Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of recurring machine issues, implementing long-term solutions to enhance reliability.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize CNC machine performance, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase throughput.

Develop data-driven maintenance plans and optimize spare parts inventory based on usage trends and failure patterns.

Train, coach, and lead the maintenance team in technical skills, safety practices, and lean methodologies.

Provide regular reports and performance dashboards to management, highlighting key insights and progress on improvement actions.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field).

At least 5 - 7 years of experience in maintenance management, with a proven track record in overseeing complex maintenance operations.

Solid understanding of CNC technologies, maintenance practices, and machine tool performance.

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in studying machine productivity and reliability metrics.

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
