Job summary

Grand Venture Technology is seeking a skilled CNC technician to manage machine setup, tooling and fixture changes, ensuring production runs according to SOPs. The candidate will interpret drawings, follow engineering documents, and operate Fanuc CNC machines with precision.

With at least 2 years in precision machining, you will perform tool selection, program zero-point alignment, and basic metrology using calipers, micrometers, and surface inspection tools to ensure product quality before

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in precision machining environment preferred.
• Able to understand/interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
• Able to operate CNC machines (Fanuc Controller).
• Able to align/install machining fixtures and locate program zero-point.
• Able to use basic measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for machine change, setting, fixture and tool preparation.
• Ensure CNC machines run per SOP & work instructions.
• Upload only latest CNC programs based on Tool List.
• Conduct periodical audits and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshooting as required.
• Identify correct tools, tool lengths and holders from Tool List.
• Verify input material per Process Traveler and inspect products before handover to mass production.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

Responsible to job change, machine setting, fixture and tools preparation

To ensure operators running CNC machines according to SOP & work instruction

Upload and use only latest CNC program in CNC Machine, based on the Tool List

Conduct machine periodical audit and preventive maintenance

Troubleshooting

Identify correct tool, tool length and tool holder, retrieve correct fixture from the fixture rack based on the Tool List

Ensure the right material/input is used, based on the Process Traveler

Check products to make sure meet standard requirements before handover to operator for mass production

Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Education Requirements:

Minimum SPM or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience Level Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of working experience in precision machining environment will be preferred

Requirements:

Able to understand/interpret technical drawing

Able to understand and follow instruction as prescript in the engineering documents, e.g. Process Traveler, Process Routing, Setup Sheet and Inspection Plan.

Understand and able to operate CNC machine (Fanuc Controller).

Able to align and install machining fixture, and able to find program zero-point

Able to use basic measuring instrument, Digital/Vernier Calipers, External micrometer, 3-point micrometer, Dial-indicator, Surface Roughness Tester, Plug / Ring Gage (Thread, Pin), Profile projector, Smart Scope, etc.

Able to independently do machine set up
