Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Shah Alam, Malaysia to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment, ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance Engineer and production team to minimize downtime, read drawings, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Shift work may be required, and experience with multiple CNC brands is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of CNC machine maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines such as Haas, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, or Mazak systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting techniques.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills and teamwork attitude.
• Willing to work on shift if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for CNC machines and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues related to CNC machinery.
• Diagnose machine breakdowns and carry out repair activities in a timely manner.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
• Support machine installation, setup, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine reliability and productivity.
• Support spare parts inventory control and recommend necessary replacements.
