Job summary

ITW Meritex Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a tooling and fixture engineer to develop and implement tooling and fixture solutions that optimize manufacturing operations.

You will touch up and modify jigs, fixtures and machinery parts, perform maintenance on punching dies, read and interpret part drawings, and ensure quality records are kept up to date as part of a disciplined quality system. Penang-based growth focus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Polymer Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Diploma with relevant working experience is acceptable.
• 2–5 years of milling, CNC machine or tooling knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tooling and fixture solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.
• Assist in touching up and modifying jigs, fixtures and machinery parts as requested.
• Perform proper maintenance of punching dies and tooling from production.
• Read and interpret part drawings and develop specifications for tooling and processes.

Job description

Develop and implement tooling and fixture solutions to optimize manufacturing operations

To assist relevant department to touch up and modify jig & fixture and machinery parts as requested.

To perform proper maintenance and servicing for all the punching dies and tooling returned from production.

Reads and interprets part drawings. Develop specifications for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes

To perform the machine maintenance for tool shop and safe keeping all the tooling especially match metal

tooling.

To ensure quality system is implemented, and all records are updated.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Polymer Technology/ Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science/ Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering

or Diploma with relevant working experience.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in milling, CNC machine or tooling related knowledge.

Knowledge on extrusion die/tooling design will be an added advantages.

Independent and with positive attitude.
