Job summary

ITW Meritex Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead projects from design through mass production, ensuring timelines, quality, and customer requirements are met. You will prepare detailed project plans, coordinate resources, and drive process improvements in injection molding environments.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in NPI, with strong manufacturing process knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum possession of Diploma/Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering (Polymer, Electrical/Electronics, Manufacturing) or it's equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in related field or industry; preferably 2 years in NPI/project management.
• Knowledge and experience in Injection molding will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI project processing from design to mass production to meet sample timelines and quality requirements.
• Prepare a project detail plan with scope, goals, activities, resources, scheduling timelines and deadlines.
• Analyze and optimize NPI processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
• Oversee pilots and ensure smooth execution during product transfers/launches.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs with appropriate verification techniques.
• Prepare and present final project evaluations and obtain customer approvals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on changes to drawings, processes, and specifications.

Job description

Lead to NPI project processing from the design stage to mass production to ensure meeting sample timeline, product meets all necessary quality and customer requirements.

To prepare a Project Detail Plan (scope, goals, activities, resources, scheduling timelines and deadlines as well as the quality expectations of the project)

Lead in analyzing and optimizing NPI project processes to improve product quality, performance, and production through machine setting, tooling, and material.

Ensure project execution and closure are on track and oversee pilots run smoothly duringproduct transfers/launching.

Execute changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques to achieve project output.

Prepare and present final project evaluations and assessments of results to obtain approval from customers.

To coordinate with involved parties about the authorized change details in components and assemblies such as drawings, processes, work instructions, and specifications.

Job Requirements
