Job summary

MANSFIELD MANUFACTURING (M) SDN. BHD. in Malacca seeks an experienced Toolmaker to lead daily operations of our tooling shop. You will oversee tooling, dies, and jig production, ensuring accuracy against engineering drawings.

Responsibilities include precision machining (grinding, milling, turning), assembly and testing of tools, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Production, QA, and Engineering to optimize processes and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading daily operations in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong collaboration across Production, QA and Engineering departments.
• Proven ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency.

• Manufacture tooling, dies, and jigs per drawings and specs.

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail-oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, providing valuable insights, guidance, and strategic support to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Description

• Manufacture new tooling, dies, and jigs according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision machining, grinding, milling, turning, fitting, and polishing operations.
• Assemble, test, and fine-tune tools and dies to ensure they meet performance and dimensional requirements.
• Conduct try-outs and sample runs to verify tooling accuracy and function before release to production.

B. Tool Maintenance & Repair

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair damaged or worn-out tools and dies.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Replace components (springs, punches, die inserts, etc.) to restore tool performance.
• Maintain proper documentation of tool maintenance history and repair records.

C. Technical Support

• Work closely with Production, QA, and Engineering departments to troubleshoot tooling or die-related issues.
• Provide technical input for design improvements and process optimization.
• Support production teams during die setup and adjustment to minimize downtime.
